Five game accessories you don't need

The video game industry is littered with terrible gadgets. But while the gaudiest gear -- Nintendo's ROB the Robot and PowerGlove, or the original Xbox's massive Steel Battalion setup -- score headlines, it's the smaller bits and baubles that can really make you crazy.

Intended to make your gaming experience smoother, easier, smarter, or prettier, the worst extras often wind up spending more time in a drawer than your hands. Here are a few pieces of gaming hardware you should probably play without:

1. Wii Sports add-ons

2. Cheap, gimmicky third-party controllers

3. Gaming Vests

Moon Microbe Mystery Finally Solved

There has been a long-lived bit of Apollo moon landing folklore that now appears to be a dead-end affair: microbes on the moon.

The lunar mystery swirls around the Apollo 12 moon landing and the return to Earth by moonwalkers of a camera that was part of an early NASA robotic lander – the Surveyor 3 probe.

On Nov. 19, 1969, Apollo 12 astronauts Pete Conrad and Alan Bean made a precision landing on the lunar surface in Oceanus Procellarum, Latin for the Ocean of Storms. Their touchdown point was a mere 535 feet (163 meters) from the Surveyor 3 lander -- and an easy stroll to the hardware that had soft-landed on the lunar terrain years before, on April 20, 1967. [Video: Apollo 12 Visits Surveyor 3 Probe]

The Surveyor 3 camera was easy pickings and brought back to Earth under sterile conditions by the Apollo 12 crew. When scientists analyzed the parts in a clean room, they found evidence of microorganisms inside the camera.

How to Increase Globe Wimax Speed and Stability

Here’s how to improved Globe Wimax signal strength from a crippling 40% to a very stable 96%. Note that this might only applicable to my case;

1. Disconnect your connection to the external antenna. Why? The internal antenna Huawei BM622 wimax modem has a larger gain than the external antenna. Based on technician recommendations, you still have to make sure that there is no obstruction in the line of sight to the ISP tower. But isn't wimax a NON-LINE-OF-SIGHT solution? This could improve your signal strength to a maximum of 55%.

2. Ensure that the back is facing the globe base station. Find the best position that can give you the highest possible signal strength. This could improve your signal strength to 55% - 65%.

3. Put an aluminum foil insulator (usually used on roofs), beside your wimax modem. The goal is to collect a larger area of wimax transmission signal and reflex it to your modem. Like item 2, you have to find the best position for your reflector. The signal strength could increase significantly to 86%. Put more reflector until you could increase the signal no more.

Why some Android Phone cannot run Google Video Chat?

Congrats! If you're an Android phone user, you may or may not be getting video chat. That's because the latest Google feature for its mobile operating system is only expected to work on phones running the Android Gingerbread update, or OS version 2.3. If your device isn't getting Gingerbread, it's not getting video chat either.

Welcome to the world of Android fragmentation, where the power of the upgrade is wielded by the individual smartphone manufactures rather than a single entity—or, in Apple's case, the single manufacturer that makes the phone. Whether it's a hardware concern or a matter of manufacturer resource allocation, the simple fact of the matter is that just because a phone says Android doesn't mean that it can run all the way up the software upgrade chain.
