Here’s how to improved Globe Wimax signal strength from a crippling 40% to a very stable 96%. Note that this might only applicable to my case;
1. Disconnect your connection to the external antenna. Why? The internal antenna Huawei BM622 wimax modem has a larger gain than the external antenna. Based on technician recommendations, you still have to make sure that there is no obstruction in the line of sight to the ISP tower. But isn't wimax a NON-LINE-OF-SIGHT solution? This could improve your signal strength to a maximum of 55%.
2. Ensure that the back is facing the globe base station. Find the best position that can give you the highest possible signal strength. This could improve your signal strength to 55% - 65%.
3. Put an aluminum foil insulator (usually used on roofs), beside your wimax modem. The goal is to collect a larger area of wimax transmission signal and reflex it to your modem. Like item 2, you have to find the best position for your reflector. The signal strength could increase significantly to 86%. Put more reflector until you could increase the signal no more.

ReplyDeletePang bobong advice yan... di mo na kelangan ng kung anu-ano para lang lumakas signal mo! mas ok yung external basta marunong ka lng mghanap ng tamang spot. tamang mac addr. at tamang freq.
ReplyDeleteang sa akin signal strength ko is nasa 55%-58% mababa pa masyado pano eincrease ito ung external antenna ko is nasa ibabaw na ng niyog at ung modem ko nakasabit pa sa kawayan para makasagap ng good signal.. d pa kasi ako masyado kontento dahil 4 PC ang nakakonek at lahat pang gaming want ko maging stable ano ang maganda pang solution tnx
